Grassroot Bursaries were issued in the aligned area wards of Nyakach. 21st January 2024, Bursaries were issued in South East Nyakach On 25th February 2024, West Nyakach had the opportunity too to be aided financially for their education through bursaries.

On 25th February and 28th April 2024, bursaries were issued in South West Nyakach at Oboch Chief’s Office Hall where it amounted to Kshs 150,000 which aided the beneficiaries from the ward to be able to study.

28th January 2024, bursaries were issued at North Nyakach.28th January and 28th April 2024, bursaries were issued in Central Nyakach transparently and accountably ensuring beneficiaries from Central Nyakach in the locations of Pap Onditi, Owalo , Kandar West, West Kabodho and North Nyalunya  receive without mere propaganda.The bursaries amounted to Kshs 100,000

On 23rd December 2023, the GIC team and Dr Joanes Atela met with the Executive of Kobongo, Sondu to Sango, led by Chair Chris Amadi to plan for the School Bursary Harambee scheduled for March 9th, 2024, that will enable the children study and have a visionary impact in the society. The team had aligned meetings with all stakeholders across Kadianga to discuss Grassroot development through Education support.

The harambee was a resounding success and the bursaries were disbursed to the students of Kobong’o community on 4th May 2024, at Agai Primary School. Supporting Educational and Mentorship Goals:

The planning and successful execution of the bursary harambee exemplify GIC’s commitment to fostering educational opportunities, thereby nurturing future leaders.By securing and disbursing these bursaries, GIC directly contributes to reducing educational disparities and promoting intellectual growth within the community.

– This initiative underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in educational development, ensuring that every child can learn and succeed.Through these efforts, GIC demonstrates the transformative power of education and mentorship in driving societal progress and empowerment.

This aligns with the Education and Mentorship pillar by providing critical support for students, ensuring they have the resources to pursue their education and develop into knowledgeable, impactful members of society.

 Educational Infrastructural Development

The GIC team, led by Dr Joanes Atela visited the model classroom project implemented at Odhong Primary School where he led the foundation of the construction. Everything achieved a conclusion and the classroom construction completed which benefited the pupils of Odhong Primary School, the teachers and the community.

Education is the strongest pillar of transforming a community thus we must harness the opportunity to strengthen our education standards from Grassroot level. Through the Grassroot Impact Centre, development of robust education program that will see our girls, boys and teachers get the best support in raising the standard of education. In all, Nyakach must be transformed to a be a model constituency that will be admired globally.

Mentorships

On 24th October 2023, Professor Osamba from the GIC-Sondu delivered a speech to pupils and their parents during ECD graduation ceremony and the Grade 6 and Standard 8 Prayer Day, both held at Odhong Primary School.28th March at Thurdibuoro Secondary School Prof Osamba again went to mentor the student courtesy of GIC pillar of Education and Mentorship.
